If you have difficulties with downloading our ftp site, follow the steps:

If you do not currently have any File Transfer Protocol (FTP) software loaded on your computer, you will need to download one from the internet and install it on your computer, in order to access PGAV's FTP site. Some of you may currently be using Internet Explorer 5.5 to access other FTP sites, but it has not worked with any degree of consistency. You can use any of the many FTP software packages that exist (most of which are free) to access our site, but we have found "CuteFTP" to be the most popular and easiest to use program on the market. It is free to evaluate for 30 days, after which you can choose to pay the software company $40 or, you can continue to use it without paying as long as you don't mind getting a reminder message every time you start the program. There is a copy of the CuteFTP software attached to this email that you may copy to your hard drive and execute, or you can follow these simple steps to download it from the World Wide Web:

1. Go to the following web site: http://www.cuteftp.com
2. Click on the words that say "Download trial" under the CuteFTP 4.0 icon.
3. Type in your email address, then click the "Download now" button.
4. When the download file dialogue box pops up, choose "Save this file to disk" and click "OK"
5. Choose the location you wish to save the "cute4032.exe" file. (your desktop will do just fine)
6. The file is 1.5 MB, so this could take a while depending on your internet connection speed. If you took the time to download this email and it is attached, you most likely will not want to download it again.

Now that you have the EXE file, find it on your hard drive and double-click it. The installation software begins and asks you questions in various dialogue boxes:

1. At the Welcome dialogue box, click "Next"
2. At the Software License Agreement Screen click "I agree"
3. At the Destination Folder Dialogue box, click next to accept the default location on your hard drive to install the program.
4. When prompted to install "CuteHTML" as your default HTML editor, choose "NO".
5. At the "Installation complete" dialogue box, put a check in next to the box that says, "Launch CuteFTP 4.0" and click the "Finished" button.

After CuteFTP starts:

1. Close the tip of the day (if it starts automatically)
2. Click the "Site Manager" button at the upper-left hand side of the screen (the icon looks like an open book)
3. At the Site Manager dialogue box, click on the "New" button in the lower-left hand corner.
4. Fill in the blanks on the left as follows:

Site Name: PGAV's FTP Site (or whatever works for you)

FTP Host Address: ftp.pgav.com

FTP Site User Name: (type in the user name given to you by PGAV)

FTP Site Password: (Type in the password given to you by PGAV)

Keep all other default settings and click the "Connect" button at the bottom-right hand side of the box.
You should now get a welcome screen that tells you that you are logged on to our site. Click "OK"
The screen is divided into several windows, the window on the left shows your local hard drive, and the window on the right shows all of the files you have access to at our site. Drag and drop between the two windows to transfer the files you want.
